As many as 114 prisoners have been pardoned, while 91 others released on parole, the Interior Ministry said on Wednesday.
Their release, following an examination of their files by the committees concerned, is upon a presidential decree on the occasion of the 44th anniversary of the October 6 War.
The ministry said the step comes within the framework of its keenness to boost the values of human rights and the application of the punishment policy within a modern concept.
