As many as 1,557 Egyptians have returned home from Libya via Salloum crossing over the past 24 hours, Marsa Matrouh security chief Hisham Nasr said on Friday.
Out of all the returnees, 305 Egyptians had illegally traveled to Libya, he added.
Meanwhile, travel procedures for 4,050 persons, including 1,144 Egyptians and 2,906 Libyans, have been finalized, Nasr noted.
The travel procedures of 527 trucks laden with food supply and construction materials left for Libya, Nasr added.
