Arab League Secretary General Ahmed Abul Gheit on Wednesday warned of a dangerous situation facing the Arab region.
At a meeting with a delegation of Nasser Military Academy, he underlined the necessity of thinking how to stand up to challenges facing the region.
The most important of these challenges is terrorism that is threatening the regional countries.
The current state of affairs in the region gave room to the presence of foreign troops on Arab lands, said the AL chief, denouncing the Iranian threats to the Arab Gulf countries.
There are countries that are speaking about imposing hegemony on some Arab capitals, he said in reference to Iran.
Overcoming these challenges requires collective cooperation by all Arab countries, he added.
