The Algerian government prevented two Gaddafi family members from entering the country on Friday. Zarrouk Bahloul Gaddafi and Abdul Alsaid Faraj Musbah were turned back from at the Tunisian-Algerian border at El Tarf, according to AlNahar newspaper. Zarrouk Bahloul Gaddafi, a businessman, had allegedly intended to use Algeria as a transit point to Niger. Abdul Alsaid Faraj Musbah, is believed to be involved in money laundering and property. The Algerian border police informed the two men that they were ‘not welcome in Algeria’. Algeria has recently closed its border with Libya and has said that it will refuse admission to all members of the Gaddafi family. The Algerian Foreign Minister, Mourad Medelci, said last week: “We have allowed Gaddafi family members into Algeria in the past for humanitarian reasons only; our welcome will not extend to family members seeking admission on any other grounds.” Algeria last month admitted Gaddafi’s wife Safiya, his daughter Aisha, and sons Hannibal and Mohammed and their children. Aisha gave birth the following day.
