Cairo - Egypt Today

Awqaf Minister Mohamed Mokhtar Gomaa has revealed that his ministry plans to launch training and educational programs to qualify 3,000 employees across the nation to work in the fields of Dawa and administration work.

In a press conference organized Sunday at the Ministry’s headquarters, Gomaa said that tests on contemporary imams will be conducted next Sunday, stressing that those who will pass the test will be enrolled in a course covering different Sharia, scientific, social and media sciences to educate modern imams how to deal with recent developments.

The first three imams will be honored by President Abdel Fattah El Sisi in the ministry’s celebration of the Prophet Mohamed Birthday, he noted.

The Ministry will participate in the 44th anniversary of October, 1973 victory, through sending convoys to governorates and establishing new mosques, as well as organizing Dawa and cultural events, he said.
