Azhar imam lauds role of "serious media"

Grand Imam of Al Azhar Dr Ahmed el Tayyeb has voiced appreciation for what he called "objective press and serious media" in promoting correct awareness.
Tayyeb, in a meeting with chairman of the Syndicate of Journalists Abdel Mohsen Salama Sunday, discussed efforts to boost cooperation between Al Azhar and the Syndicate.
Salama stressed the importance of cooperation with Al Azhar to fight terrorist and extremist ideologies and promote moderate values.
He greatly appreciated the role played by Al Ahzar in promoting those moderate values.
