Chairman of the Suez Canal Authority (SCA) and Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCzone) Mohab Mamish offered Friday during his visit to London investment opportunities in the Suez Canal economic zone, especially plans on the operation of new container terminals in East Port Said.
In a statement, the SCzone said that Mamish presented plans to establish logistic areas in the SCzone and benefit from the vessel traffic in the ports of the SCzone.
He added that the development and infrastructure projects that are being implemented in East Port Said and other ports linked to it are going according to the deadline.
He explained that his visit to London and Berlin was fruitful, most importantly the resumption of shipping lines to the ports of the SCzone, as well as signing an agreement with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) to finance the construction of a new desalination plant in Ain Sokhna
