Kuwaiti Deputy Foreign Minister Khaled Al-Jarallah said Wednesday that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is still coordinating with Iran on the issue of the detained Kuwaiti national Faleh Al-Azmi, adding that dialogue was still ongoing, KUNA reported.
Kuwait is keen on resolving this issue with Tehran and it is continuing to follow up on the case, Al-Jarallah told reporters after a lecture at Saud Al-Nasser Al-Sabah Diplomatic Institute.
The Iranian authorities have arrested Al-Azmi after he mistakenly entered a military zone located on the borders between Iran and Turkey.
Al-Azmi, who was abroad, was making his way back to Kuwait.
