The Health Ministry announced on Friday that the death of an Egyptian pilgrim, taking the number of Egyptian pilgrims who died in Saudi Arabia to eight.
A 65-year-old woman, named Aida Khalil from Cairo governorate, died after circulatory collapse that resulted in a cardiac arrest while she was in her hotel room, said Head of the Hajj medical mission Ahmed el Ansari.
She was transported to Al Miqat Hospital in Al Madinah Al Munawwarah.
The emergency room is coordinating with the bodies concerned to issue the death certificate for her, Ansari added.
