The Egyptian Electricity Holding Company (EEHC) and the Association of Power Utilities of Africa (APUA) signed on Thursday a cooperation protocol to accredit two centers for training African cadres.
The two entities are the training center of Aswan water stations and el Moqatam training center affiliated to South Cairo Electricity Distribution Company (SCEDC).
The inking ceremony was attended by the EEHC head Gaber el Desouky and General Director of APUA Tella Abel Didier.
Desouky said the APUA aims at developing the electricity sector in Africa and improving the services offered in the energy field via honing the skills of workers.
For his part, Vice chairman for Administration and Human Resources at the EEHC Abdel Mohsen Khalaf said generating and distributing electricity in most African countries face challenges in human resources domain.
He added that this cooperation protocol will help develop human capabilities in African power facilities.
