Egypt exerts the utmost effort to overcome the economic and social challenges as well as problems accumulated over years, Prime Minister Sherif Ismail said.
The prime minister made the remarks in a meeting with UN Under-Secretary-General and the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA) Executive Secretary Mohamed Ali Al-Hakim.
Ismail told Al-Hakim that the Egyptian government adopted a range of economic and social reform programs.
He stressed Egypt’s keenness on cooperating and exchanging expertise regarding the economic and social development with the ESCWA.
Al-Hakim, for his part, hailed the Egyptian roles in the region as well as the economic and social development and stability achieved by the country.
