Shoukry said the meeting represents a consultative framework aimed at supporting the Palestinian people and their legitimate rights in establishing their state and resolving the Palestinian-Israeli conflict on the basis of a two-state solution.
"The Palestinian cause is the central issue of the Arab and Islamic worlds," he added.
The Egyptian top diplomat affirmed the need to intensify coordination efforts between Arab and Islamic countries, as well as international parties to establish a Palestinian state on all Palestinian territory on pre-1967 war borders with Al-Quds as its capital.
"We hope all efforts, alongside the support of US President Donald Trump and the international parties, will lead to a commitment to embark on a negotiating process that will end the conflict," he added.
Shoukry warned that failing to find a solution to the Palestinian cause portends dire consequences for the region.
"We are keen on keeping contacts with the United States and all actors in this regard," added the minister.
For his part, Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi said no serious peace negotiations would succeed without US support.
"We support the US active role to revive the negotiations", he added.
Palestinian Foreign Affairs Minister Riyad al Maliki said Egypt, Jordan, and Palestine are keeping coordination to present a unified Arab position.
"Egypt is mandated by the Arab states to resolve the Palestinian reconciliation file, and is making contacts with Hamas in this regard," he added.
