President Abdel Fattah El Sisi on Monday stressed Egypt’s keenness on promoting relations with Tanzania in all fields.
In a meeting with his Tanzanian counterpart John Magufuli, Sisi stressed the importance of cementing cooperation between the private sectors of Egypt and Tanzania.
The president referred to the success of certain Egyptian firms operating in Tanzania, pointing out that Cairo looks forward to increasing the trade volume between Egyptian and Tanzanian businesses in the fields of farms and manufacturing of agricultural products, fishing, livestock, pharmaceutical industries, medical supplies and mining.
Magufuli, for his part, welcomed the Egyptian leader, pointing out that his visit reflects the "profound and distinguished" relations between Cairo and Dar es Salaam, presidential spokesman Alaa Yousef said.
He stressed that his country is keen on promoting relations with Egypt, mainly in the economic cooperation, trade exchange and investment promotion, the spokesman noted.
During the meeting, a number of regional issues, mainly the threats of terror, were discussed.
Sisi invited Magufuli to take part in the international youth conference and the 2017 Africa forum, to be hosted in Egypt's Shram El Sheikh in November and December.
Magufuli welcomed the invitation, expressing his aspiration to visit Egypt, the presidential spokesman said.
