The foreign ministers of Egypt and Sudan expressed on Thursday keenness on enhancing coordination at all levels to boost bilateral cooperation and overcome any obstacle that hinders relations between the two states.
They noted that periodical meetings between the two countries, especially the higher presidential committee meeting that was held in October for the first time in the history of the two countries, help solve many problems and boost bilateral relations.
Egypt's Sameh Shoukry and Sudan's Ibrahim al Ghandour were speaking at a joint press conference on the outcome of the Egyptian-Sudanese political consultations committee that was held earlier in the day.
They lauded the progress achieved between the two countries as regards border crossings, hoping of more work to upgrade relations between the two countries.
They said the consular committee between the two countries will convene by the the end of August.
They underlined the importance of maintaining political and parliamentary coordination and supporting each other at regional and international forums especially as the two countries share close viewpoints towards many Arab issues and fight against terrorism.
As for the Ethiopian Dam issue, the two ministers underlined the importance of maintaining coordination to settle any problem in line with the international law and principles.
