Paris will hand over eight artifacts to Cairo Thursday after they had been seized by France's customs authority in 2010, France's Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs said in a Wednesday statement.
The 3,000-year-old artifacts were then kept at the French Ministry of Culture, the statement added.
Egyptian Ambassador to France Ehab Badawi will receive the artifacts in a ceremony that will also be attended by French Ambassador in Cairo Stefan Roumtier, it added.
The event coincides with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi's visit to France.
