Eight Takfiris were killed in military raids supported by the Air Forces in North Sinai, said the army's spokesman, Brig. Gen. Tamer el-Refei.
Six hotbeds used by Takfiris to hide and conceal equipment were also found by the troops. Two caches with 24 explosive charges inside were also seized.
The forces destroyed also four cars including a booby-trapped one and two motorbikes in the raids, according to the spokesman.
A 15-meter-long smuggling tunnel on the border of North Sinai was demolished.
