Ahmad Assaf, spokesman of Fatah, Thursday called upon the international community to promptly intervene to stop the Israeli aggression on Palestinians in Gaza which has led to the killing of five Palestinians in the last 24 hours, in addition to killing 20 others and injuring more than 100 since last Thursday, most of them women and children. Assaf said Israel alone holds the responsibility of the latest escalations and their impact through its adherence to the policy of aggression, occupation, settlement and keeping the tension in the region, especially when all the Palestinian factions announced their commitment to maintaining a truce. He stressed that all the Israeli attempts including crimes, threats and blackmails will not deter the Palestinian people and leadership from their adherence to their inalienable rights and from their bid to the UN in September.
