Minister of Foreign Affairs Sameh Shoukry extended condolences to the government of the Czech Republic over the death of a Czech tourist in a knife attack that occurred in Hurghada two weeks ago.
Foreign Ministry spokesman Ahmed Abu Zeid said on his Twitter account that the minister voiced solidarity with the tourist's family as well as with the Czech government.
The Czech Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that the tourist succumbed to her injuries after she had been stabbed in one of Hurghada's hotels on July 14.
Two German tourists were also killed in the attack, when the perpetrator sneaked into a hotel in the resort city with a knife in hand and stabbed six tourists of different nationalities.
