A committee tasked with managing the funds and assets of the Muslim Brotherhood (MB) terrorist group froze the assets of 16 elements.
The list includes, among others, Islamic cleric Youssef Qaradawi's daughters and sons.
The assets of Cairo Portal company for publishing and distribution were also seized for ties with the terrorist group, with its owners being detained, the government-appointed committee said in a Thursday statement.
The committee added that 37 branches of the Arab, international company for trading agencies have been seized. Its owner is also detained.
Meanwhile, Business News for press, printing, publishing and distribution, the company in charge of the Daily News paper, was also seized, read the statement.
The list of companies involved in the decision also included Business Media Group for advertisements and the Capital markets institute.
The committee order includes all bank accounts, deposits, stocks, lands and real estate.
