Channel two of Israeli TV revealed on Sunday evening that a delegation comprised of a number of officials from the Libyan regime visited "Israel" recently. The station added that: "Members of the delegation met opposition leader Tzvipi Livni, at their request, and handed over a personal message from Colonel Muammar Gaddafi on dvds which Livni handed to the competent security authorities to examine. The Libyan delegation also met Deputy Meir Shitrit of the Kadima party, and a Jewish group of Libyan descent in the city of Netanya. According to the channel, the visit was aimed at improving the Israelis' image of the Gaddafi regime. However, it described the visit as "strange", stating that it did not seem to achieve any such result.
