Health ministry official: State of emergency in Tanta hospitals

Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health Mohammed Sharshar said on Friday that a state of emergency has been declared in Tanta hospitals to receive casualties of the two-train collision in Alexandria.
In a statement to MENA, Sharshar noted that all doctors were called and surgeons' vacations were cancelled in order to be available in the governorates' hospitals to receive victims.
The official added that he phoned the undersecretary of the Health Ministry in Alexandria, affirming the availability of sufficient blood bags and medical supplies in hospitals.
