Chief-of-Staff of the Armed Forces Mahmoud Hegazy stressed that the aim of the annual scientific exhibition of the Military Technical College is developing scientific research.
The Armed Forces' general command believes in the importance of scientific research to graduate scientists who are able to serve the homeland and its army, while education and scientific research are pillars of the nations' progress, he noted.
These remarks came during the participation of Hegazy in the inauguration of the annual scientific exhibition of the Military Technical College and the closing session of the second international conference on researches of the teaching staff.
The conference witnessed the participation of more than 280 students representing 28 universities and research centers in Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Iraq, Sudan, Indonesia, Pakistan and Spain.
The exhibition is held upon an initiative by President Abdel Fattah El Sisi on fostering and sponsoring the high-school students brilliant in mathematics in cooperation with the Education and Technical Education Ministry as well as the Military Technical College.
