The Anti-Narcotics Department (AND) has arrested 23 drug dealers during the last two days across in various parts of the Kingdom, the Public Security Department (PSD) Thursday announced.
PSD spokesman, Colonel Amer Sartawi, said one of the most prominent cases was in Mafraq Governorate, where seven people were caught red-handed, one of whom had 20 thousand narcotic pills and a quantity of crystal meth drug substance.
More PSD raids were conducted in Amman and other governorates, during which several drug traffickers were arrested and quantities of narcotic drugs were seized.
All the arrested drug dealers were sent to investigation, prior to their transfer to the State Security Court's prosecutor general, the PSD spokesperson added.
