Akram Khuzam, a well-known Syrian journalist and a previous correspondent to Al Jazeera in Moscow, firmly denied that he is about to launch a new political party as one of the news websites claimed yesterday. khuzam denied the news on his Facebook page which has been circulated by Syrian and non Syrian media organisations. He reaffirmed that “as a journalist I don’t have any communication with any political parties but as far as Syria’s serious situation is concerned I will always be one of the people who call for an immediate end to bloodshed, and to bring all those responsible for the killings to justice.” Khuzam added by saying that: “I believe in following the path of democracy as a way to get Syria out of its present situation.” Earlier, according to political sources rumors claimed that the first political Syrian party is about to get licensed according to the new Parties’ Law which was issued in Syria a few days ago.
