A military funeral was held Saturday in a Monufiya village for Major Ahmed Abdel Basset Fouad of the Homeland Security Service, who was killed in Friday's shootout in the desert of Wahat in Giza.
Monufiya Governor Hesham Abdel Basset, Qalubiya Governor Mahmoud Ashmawy, along with senior security officials took part in the funeral.
Scores of residents attended the funeral, chanting anti-terror slogans and calling for taking revenge on the attackers.
The Monufiya governor offered condolences to the martyr's family, affirming that such terror acts would not undermine the will of the state agencies to uproot terrorism.
