The executive office of the Council of Arab Information Ministers started its meeting on Tuesday by observing a minute of silence over the victims of Friday's terror attack on Sinai mosque.
The attack left 305 people dead and 128 injured.
Saudi Information Minister Awwad bin Saleh Al Awwad condoled with Egypt over the victims, expressing solidarity with Egypt.
He said such attempts would never affect Egypt.
Several ministers offered condolences to Egypt.
The council groups Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Mauritania, Sudan, Somalia, Iraq and the UAE.
The meeting will focus on the role of Arab media in confronting terror and means of supporting the Palestinian cause
