The Moroccan February 20th Movement has announced that it is organising a protest in the electorate of Yasmina Badou, Morocco’s current Health Minister. A source from the movement said: “members have decided to organise the demonstration next Sunday in Sedi Mo’amen in north of Casablanca to protest the low level of education.” “The movement has also decided to organise a similar demonstration on September 18th in the old City of Casablanca to protest the poor quality of health services in Morocco.” “We didn’t choose the old city at random; our choice aims to reflect the youth’s anger and frustration over the deterioration of the health services that has been overseen by Badou.”. During a press conference, Omar Radi a member of the movement based in Al-Rebat called for a demonstration in the Ya’aqoob Almansoor neigborhood of Al-Rebat on the same day. The Moroccan February 20th Movement is a broad alliance of opposition groups, including the banned Justice and Charity party, left wing activists and young individuals.
