Morocco has expressed "strong worry" and "deep concern" over the painful events that rock Syria, said on Wednesday Morocco's Foreign Ministry. "The Kingdom of Morocco, which has a traditional policy of non-interference in other countries’ internal affairs, expressed today its strong worry and deep concern over the painful events that shake Syria, marked by an exacerbating tension and escalating violence, causing many casualties, especially among the civilian population," said the ministry in a statement. Morocco “calls on all concerned parties to show wisdom and restraint and to engage in a thorough and inclusive dialogue for the benefit of the unity, stability and security of this sister country,” the same source said. The Kingdom, the statement added, “sincerely hopes that the brotherly Syrian people will find concrete and credible way that meets their legitimate aspirations for democracy and their natural ambitions of progress, away from excessive use of violence or repression.”
