Tripoli - Assam Masaoud

NATO aircraft returned to raiding Gaddafi's headquarters on Sunday. Violent explosions rocked the compound at Bab Al-Azizia and other parts of the capital of Tripoli after NATO targeted the sites of battalions and the central leadership. Columns of smoke rose from the vicinity of the Bab Al-Azizia complex as NATO carried out simultaneous raids on the outskirts of Tripoli to the east and south east of the capital. NATO confirmed that it launched seven air raids on Tripoli, hitting Gaddafi’s leadership's headquarters, and bombing a warehouse containing weapons. Two tanks and two battalions attacked aircraft and an armoured car near Zliten, while other strikes targeted areas near Brega, including a warehouse and four armoured cars. However, Gaddafi's forces said that the raid on Brega "targeted industrial factories and killed six of its guards." The rebels are currently ready to go into battle in an attempt to gain a significant amount of ground before Ramadan. In other news, Gaddafi criticized the Egyptian revolution and said in a speech to the Egyptians that former President Hosni Mubarek is a poor man who does not deserve what has happened to him.
