Bibliotheca Alexandrina expressed its deep sorrow and regret over Friday's terrorist attack that targeted a mosque in North Sinai, killing and injuring hundreds of worshipers.
In a statement, the library said the brutal attack was part of a terror plot targeting the Egyptians and seeking to undermine their state.
Such a terror attack evidently proved that the terrorist groups were being financed from abroad, the statemen said.
The Bibliotheca Alexandrina’s employees and workers offered their condolences to the families of the victims, it added.
A terrorist attack targeted Rawda mosque in Bir al Abd town of North Sinai during Friday prayers, claiming the lives of 305 worshipers, including 27 children, and wounding 128 others, according to the general prosecution on Saturday
