The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) hailed the Turkish-Saudi step of forming a joint working team including experts of the two brotherly countries to uncover the circumstances of the disappearance of the Saudi citizen Jamal bin Ahmed Hamza Khashoggi in Istanbul, Turkey.
In a statement issued today, OIC Secretary-General Dr. Yousef bin Ahmed Al-Othaimeen affirmed that the two brotherly countries are capable of presenting a model of bilateral cooperation in the most difficult circumstances and are qualified to present outcomes reflecting their good intentions and the depth of inherent goodness of the two leaderships.
The OIC stressed the importance of waiting for the results of the investigation conducted by the Republic of Turkey with the participation of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and not jump to premature conclusions, calling upon the Islamic countries and the international media to be accurate and professional in dealing with this case.
