Prime Minister Sherif Ismail on Sunday issued a decree approving requests to grant a public benefit status to three NGOs in Sharqia, Minya, and Sohag.
Upon a law on regulating the performance of NGOs, the prime minister's decision shall determine the public authority privileges enjoyed by the organization with a "public benefit" status, including a ban on the seizure of all or some of its funds and the possibility of expropriation for public interest to achieve the purposes of the organization.
