Homs’s Police Chief, Brigadier Abdul Razzaq Al-Saleh, survived an assassination attempt in the area of Bab Al-Saba’a in the city of Homs. A Syrian News site reported that the Police Chief was accompanied by the Chief of Criminal Security in Bab Al-Saba’a, an area which has witnessed tension and armed men pursuing the Syrian army, when the assassination attempt occurred, but he managed to survive it. A source in the police said that two guards were wounded by gunshots while crossing a street near the incident, and were rushed to the national hospital to receive treatment.
