Reports that Islamic scholar Yousuf Al Qaradawi had lapsed into coma or was clinically dead "lacked credibility", Qatari media reported on Monday."Shaikh Al Qaradawi had a cold and needed to rest after spending around two hours in the open air to receive condolences on the death of Shaikh Abdul Moez Abdul Sattar," Waleed Abul Naja, a source close to the scholar, was quoted as saying. "He was exhausted and could not deliver the weekly sermon on Friday. However, on Sunday, he was back to work in his office and received many people," he said. Abul Naja attributed the reports that were disseminated mainly online to Al Qaradawi's support to protests in Tunisia, Egypt, Libya, Yemen and Syria. "Several officials were upset over this support to young people and protesters," he said, but without giving details. Shaikh Moez, an Egyptian-born religious figure who was among the first activists within the Muslim Brotherhood, was buried in Doha on Thursday.
