Alexandria security directorate intensified security services at the main squares and streets and around the important facilities to secure the 4th youth conference.
The event will be held on July 24-25 at Bibliotheca Alexandrina.
Alexandria Security Chief Mostafa el Nemr directed the security bodies to fully secure the participants of the conference.
The number of surveillance cameras monitoring the main squares and streets were increased and checkpoints were deployed in the highways to secure the entrances and exits of the city.
As many as 1,300 youths from Alexandria, Matrouh, Beheira and Kafr el Sheikh will take part in the event.
The two-day conference will address the Egypt 2030 Development Plan; the ambitious development programme formulated by the government, the private sector and NGOs, which has been two years in the making.
Previous national youth conferences were held in Sharm El-Sheikh, Aswan and Ismailia to discuss issues directly related to young people, such as ways to enhance their political participation and prepare them for being future leaders.
