Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi and Sudanese President Omar Bashir are keen on preserving strategic ties between Cairo and Sudan, citing the strategic partnership agreement that was signed by the two leaders in Cairo in October 2016 in this regard, said Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry.
Giving a word at the beginning of meetings of the Egyptian-Sudanese Political Consultation Committee on Thursday, Shoukry said that the meeting falls within regular meetings of the joint Political Consultation Committee to boost bilateral ties and explicitly discuss all matters related to the two countries.
Shoukry also stressed the importance of holding regular meetings between the two countries to put the two countries' relations on the right track.
The meetings also help remove obstacles facing the two countries and consolidating bilateral ties in all fields, Shoukry said.
