President Abdel Fattah El Sisi has issued directives to all state bodies and officials to follow up the developments of a deadly collision between two trains in Alexandria earlier on Friday.
The president also ordered a team of investigators to be formed to reveal the reasons behind the collision to hold those responsible accountable.
He expressed his deepest sorrow and condolences to the families of the victims, stressing that the state will provide full care for the wounded.
A collision involving a train traveling from Cairo, and another from Port Said left at least 36 dead and 123 others wounded in the coastal city of Alexandria.
