Cairo - Egypt Today

President Abdel Fatah El Sisi held a meeting Monday with the prime minister and government officials to discuss a number of issues, including efforts exerted to develop the health care system and means to improve medical services provided to citizens, according to presidential spokesman Alaa Youssef.
During the meeting, President Sisi stressed the importance of upgrading hospitals and medical centers, as well as establishing new ones across the country.
He also emphasized the necessity of providing medical facilities with the needed supplies at the best price.
The meeting also discussed the latest security measures adopted at airports.
The minister of civil aviation stated that the security measures implemented at Egyptian airports meet the highest international standards, pointing out that airport staff receive ongoing training to reach the required standards.
On his part, President Sisi stressed the need to continuously develop airport security systems.
According to Youssef, Governor of the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) Tarek Amer discussed with President Sisi the recent increase in the foreign currency reserves, pointing out that such step will contribute to boost confidence of foreign investors in Egypt's economy.
The minister of finance demonstrated the decrease in the budget deficit to around 9.5% during the first 11 months of fiscal 2016-2017, compared with 11.5% during the same period of the previous fiscal year.
