President Abdel Fattah El Sisi stressed on Saturday the importance of continuing efforts meant to bring about more security for citizens in addition to boosting the role of police to facilitate the lives of people.
Addressing a meeting with Interior Minister Magdy Abdel-Ghaffar, Sisi ordered more measures to be taken to control markets to combat high prices to ease suffering of people, said presidential spokesman Alaa Yousef.
Abdel-Ghaffar reviewed a report on latest developments of security conditions in the country in light of measures adopted by the interior ministry to achieve security and to boost effective deployment of police in cities and roads, with more focus on sectors directly related to citizens and their daily lives, said the spokesman.
Sisi hailed success achieved by security bodies in combating extremists through raids and manhunts.
The interior minister asserted that his ministry is on alert in conducting tasks assigned to it. He renewed determination of police on continuing their national role in defending the homeland and the people
