President Abdel Fattah El Sisi held a phone call with his Palestinian counterpart Mahmoud Abbas, the presidential spokesman Bassam Rady said on Saturday.
During the call, they reviewed the latest developments concerning the Palestinian cause and the peace process.
Sisi stressed Egypt’s keenness on reaching a just and overall solution that secures the Palestinians’ right to establish their state according to international resolutions.
Abbas hailed Egypt’s efforts and role in supporting the Palestinian cause especially Cairo's recent bid to reach national reconciliation in order to empower Palestinians to face their challenges.
The presidents also agreed on continuing coordination and talks concerning the Palestinian the cause and means of resuming negotiations between Palestinians and Israel
