Supply Minister Ali Meselhy held on Saturday a meeting with directors of supply departments to follow up implementation of the new bread work system.
During the meeting, he said that the new bread system obliged owners of mills and bakeries to pay the value of wheat and flour to get the value of production in case the production complies with the necessary standards.
Meselhy assured that the new system would propel bread makers to shoulder more responsibility and allow competitiveness to attract more beneficiaries.
He pressed the need for redistribution of supervision on mills and bakeries, noting that bread prices are fixed without change at 5 piasters.
