The head of the Illegal Immigration Agency in Sabratha, Basim Gharbali, stated that they have arrested more than 6,000 illegal immigrants at their places of assembly and boat launching areas along the city's coast, the Libya Observer reported on Sunday.
Gharbali said the agency is unable to provide the migrants with full humanitarian assistance, pointing out that among them are pregnant women, children and patients.
He asked the authorities concerned to intervene and assist his agency in Sabratha to provide the proper services to the city's immigration centers.
