Tunisian Foreign Minister Khemaies Jhinaoui arrived in Egypt Thursday to take part in the Arab League (AL) emergency ministerial meeting which will discuss the latest developments in Al Quds and Al Aqsa mosque.
The AL had announced that it will hold an emergency ministerial meeting, chaired by Algeria, at the request of Jordan to address the Israeli violations and measures against Al Aqsa mosque.
AL Assistant Secretary General for Palestine and the occupied Arab territories Affairs Saed Abu Ali had said earlier that the meeting comes within the framework of pan-Arab endeavors to confront the unprecedented Israeli measures in Al Quds and Al-Aqsa Mosque.
He also asserted that the Arab League rejects any change to the historical and legal status of Al Quds, pointing out that the meeting will work towards rescinding the Israeli measures and ensuring their non-recurrence.
