The contact that took place between Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry and his Turkish counterpart Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu on Sunday came for consultations on the deteriorating conditions in Al Quds (occupied east Jerusalem).
The contact took up also the Israeli assaults against the Palestinian civilians, said Foreign Ministry spokesman Ahmed Abu Zeid while answering questions by diplomatic reporters on the reason of the contact.
It comes also in light of Turkey's presidency to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and coordination pertaining to measures to be taken within the framework of the OIC, Abu Zeid reiterated.
