At least 17 people were injured in a head-on collision between a bus and a lorry in Bentota, in southern Sri Lanka on Tuesday, police said.
The private passenger bus was on its way to capital Colombo when the lorry was on its way to the southern city of Galle.
The wounded were rushed to nearby hospitals by the police and residents in the area.
The drivers of the two vehicles are among those injured and receiving treatment in hospital.
Police have launched an investigation into the incident.
