Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas on Sunday briefed the Norwegian Envoy for the Middle East Peace Process Tor Wennesland on the latest conditions in Palestine as well as the constant Israeli violations against Palestinians.
Upon receiving Wennesland in Ramallah, the Palestinian President urged the international community, Europe in particular, to back the French initiative which aims at holding an international peace conference on the Palestinian cause.
Abbas also hailed Norway's role in contacting donors in order to provide the Palestinian people with necessary aid for constructing national institutions.
