Arab League Secretary General Ahmed Abul Gheit and UN envoy to Libya Martin Kobler met Saturday to discuss the latest developments in Libya.
The meeting, which was held on the sidelines of a Mediterranean dialogue conference in Italy, took up efforts exerted by Kobler to convince all parties to the Libyan conflict to return to the negotiating table, an AL statement said.
Abul Gheit also reviewed means by which to coordinate efforts of the troika concerned with the Libyan crisis, the statement added.
Besides the AL, the troika includes the UN and the African Union.
