Chinese Foreign Ministry commended on Tuesday the great success achieved by the summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (Focac) held in South Africa with the participation of African leaders and senior officials.
In a statement, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Hua Chunying asserted that China will adhere to all principles of friendship, justice and mutual interest in all its steps to achieve what was agreed upon during the Chinese-African summit.
She pointed out to the saying of Chinese President Xi Jinping that China and Africa are making new history.
The Focac summit succeeded in developing a blueprint for achieving future development and boosting relations and cooperation between China and Africa, Chunying quoted Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi as saying.
The attendees at the Chinese-African summit managed to reach a new concept of cooperation between China and Africa, outline the path of the future joint ties as they agreed to strengthen cooperation via establishing an overall strategic partnership, she added.
Also, they agreed on key five points as a base of the Chinese-African relations, she underlined.
The five points are political equality, mutual trust, economic cooperation, cultural exchange and joint security cooperation as well as mutual solidarity and coordination with regard to foreign affairs, according to the Chinese Foreign Ministry's spokeswoman.
Furthermore, they announced ten mega projects in the fields of manufacturing, agriculture, infrastructure, financial services, trade, investment, green economy, poverty reduction, social welfare, public health as well as security and peace, she noticed.
