Shaikh Fawaz bin Mohammed Al Khalifa,
London - Egypt Today

Bahrain’s Ambassador to the United Kingdom, Shaikh Fawaz bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, has expressed “increasing concern over ties between Qatar-supported extremist groups in Libya and the recent atrocities” witnessed by Manchester where blasts killed 22 people.
In an exclusive interview with the UK-based “The Telegraph” newspaper, Shaikh Fawaz said that there was increasing concern over ties between Qatar-supported extremist groups in Libya and the recent atrocities witnessed by Britain recently.
“Qatar is undermining stability in Bahrain by supporting terrorist groups such as Saraya Al Ashtar which carried out bombings and assassinations against security forces in Bahrain,” Shaikh Fawaz said.
The ambassador expressed dismay over reports linking the suicide bomber responsible for the Manchester bombings, Salman al-Obeidi, to the Doha-backed Libyan terrorist groups.
“Qatar’s backing of Al-Qaeda-related groups in Libya and Syria has plunged both conflicts into deeper chaos, while contributing to the worsening spillover of migrants and refugees,” Shaikh Fawaz said.
The ambassador said that the unprecedented steps taken by Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Egypt demonstrate the seriousness of their stance towards Qatar.
