Coordination is under way between the Egyptian Chamber of Engineering Industries and the CVC, a leading testing company in China, to open laboratories in Egypt, said head of the chamber Mohamed el Mohandes on Wednesday.
The move comes as part of the chamber's efforts to develop engineering industries which are considered the heart of local industry, he added.
He made clear that opening international accreditation labs in Egypt are essential for developing the engineering industries sector.
CVC, affiliated to China National Electric Apparatus Research Institute (CEI), is a third-party and impartial international institute for technical services. CVC has been dedicated itself to testing and certification, calibration, proficiency testing, product inspection and training.
